All prepared!

Keep your eyes out! Launch day is iminent – it sounds comparable to a rocket blasting off, atleast it feels like that amount of energy going into it. It’s quite exciting but especially frantic putting that last things together such as insurance and documents but mainly just ensuring that I haven’t forgotten the little things that can make the big difference.

The last thing that we managed to check was that the World Rickshaw Taxi was rain proof.

Rain cover on the rickshaw

There was a short but intense shower and with the rain covers down, sat inside the bubble everything appeared to keep dry undearneath the canopy. That’s fortunate for the passenger, however, not for me!

Appearance on BBC

I will be filmed by BBC Look North tomorrow on launch day. I should be making an appearance in the evening. I will also be appearing in BBC Radio York early in the morning at 7am – I cannot remember the last time I got up that early, but I soon will have to make a start. There will also be a follow up the following morning after my first night in York, which will be an interesting start.

Updated the website host

Everything is preparing and raring to go. The website has been transferred to a new web host to keep things ticking if I do happen to get a big surge of interest.

I like to wish a big thank you to Danny and Paul at Getextra who will be managing and keeping the World Rickshaw Taxi website operational whilst I’m on my expedition.
